Searching the Internet the Productive Way – Part 2

If haven’t read the first part, you can do so here. Without wasting any time, let’s start from where we left in Part 1:

If you are looking to buy a product or hire a service, “going beyond the first search engine results page” becomes even more important. Imagine this:

You liked a product that you saw on a website, which is selling it for $39. Before buying it from that website, you do an online search over your favorite search engine and get numerous SERPs. From the first SERP, you find that there is a website that is selling that same product for $35 including shipping and handling (maybe shipping is free). But you are not one of those who are easy to convince and you hit “Next” on the first SERP. On the second page, you find a website that is selling it for $39, but giving you a discount if you buy one extra (for one of your best friends for example) and shipping is free. Let’s not go any further for the time being, but can you see how many options you have now?

Every next page can or cannot bring surprises. Since you never know, it will be wise if you make it a practice to even scan first three to five pages. This is especially important when you are looking to buy something and according to me, even more important if you are looking to hire a service. Now, imagine this:

You are looking for a professional internet marketing firm and your favorite search engine gives you numerous pages of results. Some internet marketing firms state their service charges on their websites (some of these are the ones that have fixed rates), some don’t (most of these are flexible and can be affordable). What you do is write an email briefly describing your requirements and requesting a quote and then send that email to all online marketing agencies you find on first three to five SERPs. When you receive their replies, you visit their websites to evaluate the effectiveness of their services based on their given rates and successfully find the one most suitable to your requirements and budget. (Tip: When you are visiting the websites, check out their clients’ pages {a professional internet marketing firm should have a client page}, blogs {where professional online marketers of the internet marketing firm regularly share their insights of the field of internet marketing}, and that if the professional internet marketing firm has a team of writers {since arguably writing is half internet marketing}).

So whether you are looking for a product or service, it’ll be wise to have a look at a little more options. You are going to spend/invest some of your hard earned money, just try to make sure that you get the best deal for you.

Having An Internet Marketing Firm At Your Side

While large as well as some medium-sized businesses can afford an internet marketing department that constantly works to market the company’s products and/or services on the internet, an online marketing dept. is something most small as well as some medium-sized businesses can’t set up for a variety of reasons. Considering the significant role of an internet marketing firm in the success or failure of a business, the only option left for businesses that just can’t establish a marketing department is hiring an internet marketing firm.

Sometimes freelancers too may feel that they can benefit from an online marketing campaign and the only thing they can do is to find an affordable internet marketing service.

But, would having just any internet marketing firm at your side do it?

As you can imagine, the answer is no.

If you are someone looking for an internet marketing firm, your aim should be to get a professional internet marketing firm at your side. With so many online marketing companies out there, it must be a tough job to find a professional internet marketing firm, you might say. Actually no. If you keep in mind some common-sense things, you should be able to find a good, professional internet marketing firm minus long hours of thinking if a particular firm you’ve spotted would really be a good choice. Here are some tips to help you recognize a professional internet marketing firm:

  • For an internet marketing firm to be considered a professional digital marketing agency, it should have some of its clients’ testimonials displayed on its website, so look for testimonials. Beware, though, that there might be fake testimonials. One way to find out if the testimonial is genuine is to visit the website mentioned under the name of the testimony giver and you can have an idea if the testimony was genuine.
  • A good, professional internet marketing firm should have an active blog, which is regularly updated with the posts by its professionals showing their insight of the field of internet marketing.
  • Since arguably half of internet marketing is writing, see if the internet marketing firm has a team of writers.

Once you’ve found a professional internet marketing firm, contact them briefly describing your requirements and requesting a quote. If you are looking for affordable internet marketing services, do not forget to mention that so that the internet marketing firm can let you know what they can do for you in your budget.

How Internet Marketing Firms Can Help Gen Y Null Effects of Downgrade of U.S. Economy

Standard and Poor's has downgraded U.S.'s credit rating from ''AAA'' to ''AA+'' for the first time in country's history. However, there is hope… in the form of Generation Y’s potential businesspersons. Generation Y is a generation of Americans that were born from the mid-1970s to mid-1990s.

Something that can be a blessing in disguise:

According to Friday's (August 5, 2011’s) employment report from the Labor Department, 13.9% of 18- to 29-year-olds were unemployed in July. That's almost double the percentage of those who were over 30 and were unemployed.

Here is why that can turn out to be a blessing:

According to a report published last month by The Affluence Collaborative, 40% of the Generation Y members would be starting their own business, and about 20% already have. Those 20% have created jobs not for only themselves, but for others as well. The Young Entrepreneur Council, an invitation-only organization for top businesspersons founded by 27-year-old Scott Gerber in late 2010, has over 275 members who have created tens of thousands of jobs.

The Role of Internet Marketing Firm in all that:

The Generation Y business-minded persons shouldn’t forget that they can have their products/services marketed online without wasting a fortune, thanks to the presence of affordable internet marketing firms. An affordable, professional internet marketing firm can help them popularize their businesses over the internet effectively. A good, professional internet marketing firm will work to get the website of a G-Y member’s business a good search engine ranking so that a good number of visitors can be ensured. The internet marketing firm will also help the business get exposure over different, highly populated social networks/media sites.
